Learning to photograph candles. Removing severe damage from a photograph: an effective way What is damage from a photo

Technically, shooting by candlelight is more difficult than shooting in daylight or artificial light. Lack of light requires a slow shutter speed, and you will need a tripod or support to avoid blurring the frame. To use the flash or not depends on what you want to get in the end. In principle, both options are possible.

Shooting by candlelight using flash.

Without a flash, making a burning candle the main element of the composition is unlikely to succeed. A high ISO and a shutter speed of a few seconds will give a correctly exposed frame, but only in the part where the light from the candle reaches. If you shoot at close range, then the brightest point in the frame (the tongue from the candle flame) will be “scorched” to white. If the distance is increased, then all objects around the candle will merge into solid blackness. An external flash will add light. You need to install it so that the light from it falls in the same direction as the light coming from the candle. If there is only one candle, then a tube is put on the flash so that the beam is narrow and directional. When there are several candles, let the flash shine widely. It is advisable to use a yellow filter or at least a piece of yellow film. Flash power is selected empirically, it depends on the effect you need.

It is important not to go too far with the light, to choose a value at which the objects of the composition will be worked out, but not to the smallest detail, i.e., they will remain rather dark. Otherwise, the whole effect of lighting with candles will disappear. Set the exposure on the camera so that the brightest areas (in this case, flames) are correctly exposed. When cropping the picture, cut off the brightly lit part of the candles, then the presence of another light source will not be noticeable in the final picture.

Shooting by candlelight without flash.

Stock up on a large number of candles - then you will have a field for maneuvering with light. The more candles, the more light, and the more opportunities you have to try shooting with different settings for shutter speed, aperture, ISO.

Shooting lighting.
If you are shooting a portrait, arrange the candles so that the light falls from one side and the other. Let there be more candles on one side for good side light. Candles should not be placed in one place - this will lead to the fact that hard shadows will fall on the face, it is better to place them at a small distance from one another. It can be illuminated with a table lamp with dimmed light (as an option - a lamp with a lampshade wrapped in yellow, orange or red cloth).

How to photograph by candlelight (shooting technique).

Use a portrait lens, fast "fifty dollars" (f / 1.8 or f / 1.4). A tripod is a must, otherwise the footage will be blurry. The aperture is as wide as possible to allow more light to enter the matrix. Shutter speeds are long (1/15) ISO above 400, do not raise, at higher values during processing, you will have to remove digital noise. Set the white balance (WB) manually, in auto mode you will not take a good picture. Try shooting with different WB settings or shooting in RAW format, then you can make a correction in post-processing.

Composition.
Shooting by candlelight in terms of building a composition is simple, there are only two options - candles in the frame and candles behind the scenes. Try not to clutter up the frame with an abundance of small details. From the surroundings, you can use books, a glass of wine, a shawl, a cape, in general - something suitable for the plot. If you decide to include candles in your shot, build it on the principle of "the simpler the better", because. the candles themselves will already create certain zones of attention. If you are shooting a portrait, then arrange the candles so that they are the environment of the model, do not pull the focus on yourself. For the composition of the frame, they often use the laying out of candles on the floor in a chain, wave, in the shape of a heart. Candles set on the table in a candlestick look beautiful. Well, you can’t get away from the traditional frame - the birthday boy blows out the candles on the cake.

There are a lot of ideas for shooting by candlelight. Take a few trial photo shoots (not necessarily with the model, you can shoot burning candles themselves), look at the work of the masters and try to repeat or do something similar. With a little practice, you can take good pictures.

Christmas holidays are coming soon, which means it's time to take magical photos! A favorite theme for photographing on Christmas and New Year's Eve is compositions with candles. After all, the lights of candles perfectly convey the mysterious and solemn mood of these holidays. In addition, even a novice photographer will cope with shooting such a plot. It does not require any special knowledge or special equipment.

NIKON D810 / 70.0-200.0 mm f/4.0 SETTINGS: ISO 720, F4, 1/60 s, 135.0 mm equiv.

First of all, let's deal with the props. For shooting we need candles. Depending on the plot you have chosen, these can be both old “little candles” with drops of paraffin - they are better suited for some sad compositions, or brand new candles, like mine. Since our composition is New Year's Eve, I will also use a Christmas tree with toys and garlands as a background. It makes an excellent background: all the lights and glare of toys will be effectively blurred. Do not forget: in order for the background to blur, it should not be close to the composition, but at some distance from it. My Christmas tree was about a meter away from the candles. On the table, a little closer to the candles lies tinsel. You can try to place the tinsel in the foreground - experiment!

Let's make a reservation right away that it will be easiest to take such a picture with a blurred background on a SLR camera. Even the simplest DSLRs will do: Nikon D3300, Nikon D5300. In order to blur the background in the photo, I will shoot wide open and at a sufficiently large focal length. I took this shot with a NIKON 70-200MM F/4G ED AF-S VR NIKKOR lens. But for such shots, almost any optics is suitable, perhaps, except for wide-angles.

If you are using an 18-55mm "whale" lens (included with the camera), then to properly blur the background, set it to the maximum focal length (to the maximum zoom). And then compose the shot and choose the desired shooting distance.

NIKON D5300 / 50.0 mm f/1.4 SETTINGS: ISO 100, F1.4, 1/125 s, 75.0 mm equiv.

The main mistake when photographing candles is photographing them in total darkness. Indeed, in life, candles look most impressive in the dark. But this is not the case in the photo. When shooting in the dark, only whitish spots from candle lights will remain in the picture, and everything else will be black. Not the most efficient option.

NIKON D810 / 70.0-200.0 mm f/4.0 SETTINGS: ISO 1250, F4, 1/80 s, 135.0 mm equiv.

Shooting with the built-in flash will give an even less expressive shot, devoid of any aesthetic appeal. In fact, highlighting such a composition is very simple. It is enough to either simply turn on the light in the room, or illuminate the scene being filmed with a table lamp. By the way, side lighting from a table lamp will be more beneficial: it will better emphasize the volume of candles.

NIKON D810 / 70.0-200.0 mm f/4.0 SETTINGS: ISO 900, F4, 1/60 s, 110.0 mm equiv.

The second common mistake when shooting candles is white balance flaws. Auto white balance doesn't always handle these scenes correctly. Candles have a very warm, yellowish glow. The best preset for photographing them is the “incandescent” white balance preset.

NIKON D5300 / 18.0-140.0mm f/3.5-5.6 SETTINGS: ISO 100, F5.6, 1/3s, 210.0mm equiv.

Burning candles are a source of light in themselves, and if we also additionally illuminate them, it will be possible to shoot from hands, and not from a tripod. I set ISO 720, F4 (the widest aperture for my lens), and shutter speed at 1/50s. Yes, the shutter speed is quite long, especially considering that I shot at a focal length of 135mm. With such parameters, I probably would have slightly blurred the frame from camera shake in my hands. But the optical stabilizer that my lens is equipped with helped me out. Nikon lenses with optical stabilization are marked with the letters VR (Vibration Reduction). If there is still not enough light, the shutter speed becomes too long and the frame is blurred, do not overestimate the ISO. It is better to just put the device on a tripod or support. Set the ISO to the minimum, let the shutter speed lengthen itself. If the camera is securely fixed, nothing will be smeared even at multi-second shutter speeds. Since the main parameter that we have to control is aperture, it will be most logical to shoot in “A” mode (aperture priority). Exposure is not so necessary to control, but you need to monitor it: is it short enough for handheld shooting, or is it time to put the camera on a tripod or support ...

As always, we are waiting for your pictures on the “candle” theme. Share them in the comments to the article.

Photos taken by candlelight are especially expressive. With their help, you can give photos a romantic or mystical flair. Technically, shooting by candlelight is difficult. Let's take a look at a few tips to help you take good pictures.

  1. Turn off the flash. The flash, becoming the strongest and main source of light in the frame, illuminates the entire space, destroying the black and white pattern.
  2. Use a tripod. In low light conditions, it becomes necessary to use a slow shutter speed. Any camera shake reduces the clarity of the image. Use a tripod to fix the problem. Whenever possible, make good use of mirror up and remote shutter release.
  3. Additional candles. The biggest disadvantage of shooting by candlelight is the low light and, as a result, the small number of options for adjusting the exposure. You can fix the problem by using a large number of candles.
  4. Arrange the candles. If the candles are concentrated in one place, then the light on the face of the model is distributed unevenly. Softer lighting can be achieved by spreading candles. At the same time, you can adjust the intensity of the shadows by placing fewer light sources on one side and more on the other.
  5. natural reflectors. White surfaces around: walls, table, ceiling will reflect light. It won't improve the situation much, but in low light it's good.
  6. Bright lenses. If you have several lenses in your arsenal, take the fastest one. This makes it possible to set the aperture value to the minimum and, as a result, a shorter shutter speed. ISO can be lowered. Remember that at the maximum aperture, the depth of field decreases. Focus carefully.
  7. Aperture reduction. Do not forget that the wider the angle when changing the focal length, the larger the aperture, therefore, rather than using the zoom, it is better to get closer to the subject.
  8. ISO settings. Low light can also be compensated by increasing the ISO. However, this creates noise in the image. Try not to raise this indicator above 400.
  9. Exposure. Seeing candles in the frame, the camera underexposes the picture, seeing bright areas. There is an option to compensate the exposure in a positive direction. But do not overdo it, otherwise you will get white spots.
  10. White balance. Photos with candles are valued for their warm light. To prevent the camera from fixing this, use white balance modes other than “Auto”. Experiment. Indoor and Incandescent modes will work well, try manual settings. Don't forget about the RAW extension. This will give you more options in post-processing.
  11. Additional light sources. If the methods described above do not give the desired effect, you can not do without additional sources of lighting. It can be a lamp or a subdued light. Try draping the light source with red or orange fabric. This will give warmth to the atmosphere.

For perfect results.

Have you ever tried taking pictures by candlelight? Warm light and flickering flames reflecting off objects and the model's face look very romantic in the pictures. But shooting in such low-light conditions is quite difficult. In the run-up to Valentine's Day, we've put together a few tips to help you have a romantic candlelight photo session and get great shots.

1. Turn off the flash

In low light conditions, it would be logical to use a flash. But then it will become the only and strongest light source in the frame, and this will completely destroy the black and white pattern. If you want to get warm light from candles, it is very important to turn off the flash, except in exceptional cases.

2. Use a tripod

Shooting by candlelight means that there will be very little light, hence the need to use a slow shutter speed. And this will increase the effect of camera shake on image clarity. To keep the camera still and keep your shots sharp, you need to use a tripod. Mirror pre-up and remote shutter release can also be used.

3. Additional candles

The biggest problem when shooting by candlelight is the lack of light. To overcome this problem, use more candles. Naturally, this will give more light, and you will be able to vary the shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings more flexibly.

4. Arrange the candles

Using a single candle or multiple candles next to each other results in harsh lighting on the model's face. If this is your intention, then everything is in order, however, in most cases, you want to get a more even distribution of light on the face. This can be achieved by arranging candles. It is best to put more candles on one side and fewer on the other. In this way, the intensity of the shadows can be adjusted, from soft to dramatic.

5. Natural reflectors

Similarly, white ceilings, walls, or even a tablecloth can serve as natural reflectors. Although they give a small effect, they still help when shooting in low light conditions. Use this when shooting.

6. Fast lenses.

If you're shooting with a DSLR and have multiple lenses, get the one with the fastest aperture. This will allow you to use a wider aperture, so more light will enter the camera. If you shoot at the maximum aperture, this will allow you to make the shutter speed faster and the ISO lower. However, keep in mind that the depth of field wide open is quite shallow. This requires increased attention when focusing.

7. Decreasing aperture

Keep in mind that the maximum wide aperture changes as you change the focal length. That is, the aperture is larger at a wide angle, and smaller at a narrow one. Therefore, it is better to get closer to the subject than to use the zoom. This way you can shoot at a wider aperture.

8.ISO Settings

In addition to slow shutter speeds, a way to compensate for low light is to increase the ISO. The trade-off for this is an increased level of noise in the image. Try to use ISO below 400 if you want cleaner photos. Remember, at higher values, the noise will become much more noticeable.

9. Exposure

If there are burning candles in the frame, the camera will usually underexpose the shot, as it will see bright areas in them. You can try to enter a positive correction for the exposure that the camera offers. But don't adjust too much or you'll end up with a white spot in the image instead of a candle flame.

10. White balance

Candles give off a very warm light and this is exactly what you want to show in the picture, as such light creates a wonderful atmosphere. However, the camera may not work in your favor and eliminate this warm cast. Especially if you have the white balance set to "Auto". Try experimenting and changing the settings to get the level of "warmth" you want (the "indoor" and "incandescent" settings work well here). In addition, when shooting in RAW, you will have much more control over white balance in post-production.

11. Additional light sources

In some cases, candles will not be able to provide you with the lighting you need. If this is the case and the methods above don't help, consider using some extra light. For example, you can use a small lamp or subdued light. For best results, you can try warming up the light with red or orange material by draping the light source.

Do not give your photos as a gift, do not give photocopies of documents containing photos to anyone, even a friend. If you show your family album, be present nearby, and when the viewing is over, put it in a place inaccessible to strangers, and even close hands. Never store photos of living and deceased relatives and friends in one album, make a separate album for them, because this is a memory, it cannot be burned. There is also such a mood that you want to remember the dead, look at the album, cry - all this is natural, this is life, memory, and there is no getting away from it. So, after such memories, when you close the album, cross it with the words: “Eternal memory to you,” and in the near future, be sure to put candles for them to rest. Because, remembering our loved ones who have died, we touch their souls, disturb the peace, no, it’s not scary, just so that they don’t disturb us at night in our sleep. It is necessary to “say goodbye” correctly after the memories.

Today, when almost every person has social media accounts, photo damage is becoming more common. Someone does not believe in its existence - they say, if it were so easy to influence another person, everyone who is not lazy would do this. But no matter how you feel about damage from a photo, it exists. And if it was imposed correctly, then the victim will very soon have many problems and troubles. But what is photo damage and is it possible to remove severe damage from a photograph, even if it is any other damage.

Man and his image

A photograph is an energy imprint of a person. And since the energy of each of us is individual, a professional magician can easily influence the person depicted in the photo, both causing damage and removing it.

However, this does not mean at all that any person can cause damage if he wants to annoy his enemies. After all, in order to cope with this task, you need to have a sufficiently powerful energy that allows you to overcome the individual protective barrier of your victim.

Removing damage from a photo with candles

Using this method, you can remove the negative from a person at a distance. For the ritual, you will need 12 church candles. If there is a suitable photo of a person, then it can also be used.

It is necessary to carry out the ceremony for 12 days. After sunset, sit down at the table, put a photograph in front of you and light one candle from matches, after which say 12 times:

“Burn a church candle and cleanse the servant of God (name) from evil corruption, from the evil eye of man, from failures and illnesses. Give the servant of God (name) strength in the fight against envious people and enemies. Amen".

Wait for the candle to burn out, and hide the cinder in a cloth bag. Repeat the ritual daily for 12 consecutive days. After this time, bury the bag of wax in a deserted place.

What is photo damage?

To remove damage from a photograph, you must understand what it is. Today, experts distinguish several types of impact on the photo:

damage to business;
damage to health;
damage to love;
damage to death.

Damage to death is considered the most dangerous, since with the help of a photo an experienced magician can bind the spirit of the deceased to a person by placing a photo in the coffin of the deceased before he is lowered into the grave. But not all magicians can do damage to death, and not everyone is allowed to. Yes, yes, this requires special permission from above! That is why damage to death is a rarer type of damage.

How to remove damage from a photo?

If you have been damaged by a photo, then you can get rid of it if you burn exactly the photo with which they worked on you. But finding this photo is almost impossible, especially if it was buried in the grave along with the deceased. Just don't worry! You can seek the help of a professional who will quickly relieve you of the negative program.

You can take damage from a photo if the person is far from you or cannot be present during the procedure. With the help of photography, the magician will clean the energy field, using wax, special church candles, holy water and other attributes in his work.

Can I remove damage from a photo myself? Can. If this is a simple damage or evil eye. But we strongly recommend not to engage in amateur activities and contact a specialist. If you do not have the opportunity to do this, below we will give a simple and fairly effective way to remove damage from a photograph, but first you must determine the presence of damage. How to do it?
How to determine the presence of damage in the photo?

Sit at the table, put a photo in front of you, light a church candle. With your right hand, slowly diagnose from head to toe. When weighting and falling through the arm in some place, we can talk about the operation.

If the hand seems to be drawn into the image, and the candle begins to worry, crackle or smoke, then there is damage on the person. Even if you feel cold from the photo, you can talk about the presence of negativity. You can also put a cross on a thread (21 cm) above the photo and it does not move, then the person has already died or will leave this world very soon, but not necessarily from damage.

What to do if a black ritual was held in a cemetery

In this case, the picture of the victim is in someone's grave? In no case do not try to remove the curse yourself - only a knowledgeable, energetically strong sorcerer is able to cope with a terrible curse!
Cleansing rites are allowed to be carried out without the help of ministers of the occult only in case of weak damage caused by an inexperienced offender, or with a careless, unintentional evil eye.
At the same time, it is important to establish an energy contact with the carrier of the malicious program - if the person is not familiar to you, first chat with him and learn more about his life. As with diagnostics, there are some requirements for the photo:
You can not take an image where a person is captured in a state of intoxication. The picture stores energy in itself, and alcohol interferes with the accurate transmission of information.
The presence of other people is not allowed in the picture.
Pay attention to the background: the mountains, the sea, and especially the church distort the energy.
And remember, before conducting a healing ritual, inform the object of treatment - without his consent, you will not succeed. In some cases, it is allowed to take consent from the mother of the victim.
The ritual involves two stages: the removal and setting of protection. Attributes: full-length photo, a large church candle and three small candles, 200 ml of salted water, a glass.
Put the water poured into a glass in front of you, place a picture on the table, light a candle and, holding it in your right hand, say three times:

“In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit will immediately deliver from the evil eye!”

Now place the candle on the table, not allowing the flame to go out, and take a picture right away. Drive them against the clock over the candle and read the plot:

“Unclean power, the spirits of sinners, fall off the servant of God (the name of the person), do not torture him, do not torment him, do not torment him at any time. Go back to where you came from, don't break your bones, don't pull your veins, go away into the dark abyss! Amen!"

Read the incantation text twelve times, each time spitting three times over your left shoulder and taking a deep breath in and out (also three times).
When you're done, flush the water down the toilet or take it out and pour it at the nearest intersection.
The next day, put the protection in this way: in the middle of the photo card, place three small wax candles in a triangle, light them and say three times:

“I lock-seal the body of a servant of God (say by name), mind and heart from evil and unkind, from dashing people and non-humans, so that you (name) are alive and well, unharmed, invincible, inaccessible to enemies! The word is strong, the deed is sculpted, now and forever! Thrice amen!"

Wait until the candles burn out, and take the cinders to the church.
The ritual is quite simple to perform, but do not abuse its use. If you are trying to cleanse yourself, do not forget to take care of your own protection before conducting. If the effect of black magic did not work out the first time, it cannot be repeated, it is better to seek help from an experienced sorcerer.

Rite of removal of damage by photo

A photo of a corrupted person is taken, where he is depicted in full growth. The person in the photo must be depicted in a sober state - this is very important, since alcohol distorts information. Pictures against the background of mountains, the sea and the church are undesirable, they also refract data about a person.

Place the icon of the Holy Trinity in front of you, light three candles, cook a fresh egg and mentally revive the spoiled one in the photo. Take a photo in your left hand, an egg in your right hand, with which you start rolling over the picture, while reading 7 times:

“In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. From the prayer of the Theotokos, from the cross of Jesus, from the seal of Christ, from the help of the Saints, get away from my word, unclean demon, damned spirit, on dry trees, on mosses and swamps, there you live, stay, scream, and not in God's servant ( name) to be self-willed. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself and the Most Holy Mother of God, all heavenly powers: Michael the Archangel, Avoid Angel and the Holy Wonderworkers: Iifon and Maroth, Elijah the Prophet, Dmitry of Rostov, George the Victorious, Nicholas the Wonderworker, John the Baptist, Tsar David, Vasily Istofer, Nikita the Great Martyr and my word is terrible, but the conspiracy is strong! I forbid you, damned demon, unclean spirit, to be in God's servant (name), go out now, this minute with your corruption and spells and move away from God's servant (name), go to your place where you used to be, and where The Lord God, Jesus Christ sent you where he ordered to live, to the underworld, to the empty land, go there, live there, and leave this servant of God (name) forever, now and forever. Amen. Amen. Amen".

When you have finished reading, snuff out the candles with your fingers, throw the egg down the toilet so that it breaks, and flush it several times. Sprinkle the photo with holy water and attach the image to the icon. The ritual must be repeated for seven days in a row, after which the photo is again checked for damage or negative energy. When checking, you can use a pendulum or frames. If the frames diverge, and the pendulum rotates counterclockwise, then after three days you again need to start the cleansing ritual.
