Turkish jeans: TOP 7 brands known worldwide

Good afternoon, dear readers and readers - lovers of dressing beautifully!

Today I have the pleasure to address those of you who prefer cozy casual over stuffy business attire. The current topic - Turkish jeans - has become a long-awaited one for me exactly since I realized that much of what seemed to me to be American products, in fact, is not only sewn in Turkey, but was originally a Turkish brand.

It's funny to remember: the origin of Colin's and Mavi brands did not cause me any doubts. The latter - until the moment I started learning the Turkish language ("mavi" in Turkish is "blue"). It was then that the first doubts began to creep in, do they know Americans are Turkish or maybe just a coincidence...

Turkey is one of the leaders in the production of jeans

So, Turkey is one of the undisputed regional leaders in jeans tailoring. And do not immediately take this statement as an axiom. Before listing the main Turkish jeans brands, let's try to prove this simple theorem.

Turkey exports over $1.5 billion of these amazing pants every year. Take a modest $30 jeans price and you have 50 million pairs of trousers, more than the population of most countries in the world. And if you also remember that 30 bucks is the price on the counter, but not at the wholesaler, then even more will turn out.

To finally dot the "i" (there are no and cannot be any dots, it's just the expression :)), here is the latest top ten world leaders in the export of jeans and the so-called "denim" (close to jeans, but not quite the same and the same) in descending order:

  1. China
  2. India
  3. Brazil
  4. Turkey
  5. Pakistan
  6. Italy
  7. Bangladesh
  8. Japan
  9. Sri Lanka

But note that sewing a lot does not mean sewing brands.

If you look at the list of names of Turkish jeans below, then there are established brands, many of which can be seen on store shelves literally all over the world.

As for Chinese jeans brands, I don’t want to offend these hardworking guys, I haven’t heard anything yet. We will probably hear, but then, not now ...

Turkish jeans: TOP leading brands

1. Colin "s (Colins ...)

About company: Do you also see their name as purely American? Meanwhile, this company was founded in 1983 in Istanbul by Nurettin Eroglu and his four brothers. True, initially the brand of jeans was called "Kulis" and only in 1992 received its current name.

Range: An important success factor that made the brand global was the refusal, from the very beginning, to copy well-known foreign analogues. In addition to jeans in a variety of colors, cuts and waist fits, the company produces jackets, sweaters, shirts, T-shirts, other "denim", as well as all sorts of accessories such as shoes, bags, watches, belts, etc.

Prices: Very, very democratic. Up to 130 Turkish liras (about 2 thousand rubles) for women's jeans and up to 170 liras (2.5 thousand rubles) for men's.

The shops: The number of own shops - over 600, in 38 countries of the world. Do I need to talk about distribution? Plus, of course, there is a convenient online store with a full set of guides on how to choose the best jeans depending on your build.

Discounts: Campaigns are mandatory, but the prices are already quite democratic.

2. Cross (Cross)

About company: The brand belongs to the company "Şık Makas" or "Chic Scissors", established in the city of Adapazari in 1939. Of course, they began to deal with jeans much later - in the early 1980s. With a strong distribution, in particular, in Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic, etc., the brand positions itself as a European one and does not particularly remember its Turkish origin.

Range: Out of place or not, but let's say that "Chic Scissors" sew for companies such as "Inditex Grup", "H&M", "River Island", "Top Shop", "Next" and "Guess", and their own " Cross" settled in Germany and reports its prices in the online store only in euros. Assortment - jeans and denim in a wide range.

Prices: Definitely not the cheapest brand of jeans. Women's jeans for up to 70 euros, and men's - up to 80 euros, on the brand's Internet portal should clearly convince of this.

The shops: If the company does not write about its stores, then they are "classified". However, one Istanbul point has been identified. That's all. Ask in the "shops of the city".

Discounts: Discounts are up to 50%. The company is European, but the business approach is Turkish. Read right.

3. Interpoll - Neo Blue (Interpol - Neo Blue)

About company: These two brands are sewn by the same company - "Özak Tekstil" with headquarters in Istanbul, and two large factories in Malatya and Sanliurfa. If the first brand, Interpol, is a purely Turkish project, then the second, Neo Blue, is a joint and rapidly developing production with the Italian Candiani Denim.

Range: The Turkish-Italian approach is based on naturalness and environmental friendliness, which even brought them to Los Angeles. They sew interestingly, modernly, with many "trinkets" for both men and women. But they don’t exchange for accessories and third-party productions: jeans, denim, shorts, denim shirt jackets, and that’s about it.

Prices: The standard price for "Neo Blue" is up to $50, read, up to 3,000 rubles.

The shops: They do not designate their own stores, clearly preferring wholesale to retail. Just keep them in mind when visiting stores built according to the gallery principle, such as the same "Boyner".

Discounts: With discounts, too, is not entirely clear.

4. Little Big or LTB (Little Big)

About company: This brand, founded in 1994, positions itself as the leader in the production of sportswear in Turkey. The owner of the company is "Çak Grup", which originated in 1948 in Eskisehir. The company has two large factories, one in Istanbul, the other in Sakarya. And among the designers there are not only Turks, but also foreign specialists.

Range: I had my doubts about whether to include "LTB" in the list of denim brands. Painfully wide range of products they have - for men, women, children and even newborns. But, despite the fact that they have everything from sportswear, jeans are the main thing for the brand, and therefore - welcome to the list.

Prices: Prices for women's jeans are up to 200 Turkish liras (about 3 thousand rubles), and for men's jeans up to 160 liras (2.4 thousand rubles) without discounts.

The shops: It's easier to say where "LTB" is not, with their hundreds of stores all over Turkey and beyond. They were especially pleased with the online radio station broadcasting directly in the online store. This is a new word in science and technology...

Discounts:"LTB" can be attributed almost to the leaders in terms of the percentage of discounts they declare, up to 70%.

DISCHARGE QUESTION: WHO DEVELOPED THE FAMOUS ALL-INCLUSIVE SYSTEM?

Hint: he is Turkish. But no one has answered yet :)

If you are the only one or the only one who knows, write to the author of the site, he is eager to get to know you.

If not, just read the article about this Great Man and his Fate at the link.

5. Loft (Loft)

About company:"Loft" is a sister company of "Colins" company by right of ownership of the Eroglu family. Things in the jeans business went so well that in one brand they began to "walk" closely.

Range: Judging by the way they repeat the youth and youth spirit through the word, their main bet, unlike the more conservative Collins, is those who care ... They have a wide assortment. In addition to the actual jeans, everything else is offered. That is, they can dress completely and completely from "A" to "Z", from the crown to the heels.

Prices: Peak prices for women's jeans are up to 170 liras (2.5 thousand rubles), and for men's - up to 200 liras (3 thousand rubles). Based on approximately 150 lire (2.3 thousand rubles) per pair, you can't go wrong.

The shops: Shops at the Loft all over the country. You will definitely find it.

Discounts: Campaigns are constant and varied. From discounts up to 50%, to "buy one pair, get the second free."

6. Mavi (Mavi)

About company: Mavi is as legendary a brand of Turkish jeans as Collins. According to many, Turkish jeans and the Mavi brand are one and the same. Established in 1991, by 1996 it had already become a recognized leader in the country itself and began its rapid march around the world. Today, "Mavi" is a truly global brand, one of the many faces of Turkey abroad. Since 2017, Mavi shares have been traded on the Istanbul Stock Exchange, and that says it all.

Range:"Mavi" will dress both women and men from head to toe. There is absolutely everything, from, in fact, the jeans themselves, to other items of clothing and accessories. They should hear special thanks from the children, who also turned out to be not forgotten.

Prices: The cost of women's jeans is up to 170 rounds. lira (2.5 thousand rubles), and for men - up to 180 tours. lira (2.7 thousand rubles) without taking into account very significant discounts.

The shops: The number of Mavi stores in Turkey exceeded 330. They have 61 stores abroad in 34 countries.

Discounts: The discounts offered can be quite significant. Up to 50% and even more.

7. Red Star (Red Star)

About company: The brand "Red Star" is considered by many and, I must say, quite erroneously - Polish. In fact, Red Star is the brainchild of Nedim Ozbek, originally from a deep Turkish province - the city of Diyarbakir. The company was founded in 1993 and is now more famous than in Turkey in Europe - Poland and Hungary.

Range: In addition to jeans directly, the brand offers denim jackets, shirts, shorts and so on.

Prices: I saw price tags only in Polish zlotys, so I won’t knock readers down.

The shops: Red Star claims that they are sold in more than 40 countries around the world. In Turkey itself, I did not come across them, I will not lie.

Discounts: What can I say? - If you see them with prices and discounts, be sure to write. It's interesting to see how they're doing.

Turkish jeans: instead of a conclusion

In fairness, it must be said that almost every brand of Turkish clothing sews its own line of denim and jeans. Moreover, very worthy specimens come across.

Network has them (personally, I'm a "network" by temperament and figure), Ramsey, Beimen Club, Abdulla Kiyla, Twist, Coton, De Facto and Waikiki. For those who are interested in reading about them, please visit the posts dedicated to Turkish brands
