DIY DVD case. How to make a CD envelope from A4 sheet? Video. How to make an envelope from paper for a disk

The disc sleeve will perfectly keep the media in proper condition and will protect its delicate surface from impacts, scratches and other possible impacts. Such a medium guarantees the preservation of information. For example, nowadays everyone has digital cameras And a large number of photographs. It is not possible to print all of them, it is very expensive, and it requires a lot of space to arrange the albums. Therefore, a disk-shaped medium is a reliable option for preserving memorable events. In this material we will figure out how to make an interesting CD sleeve with your own hands.

This article will step by step present the creation of an exclusive disc envelope that is suitable for photographs of any event, including weddings, birthdays, and New Years.

From scrapbooking paper

Scrapbooking paper is a wonderful material for making unusual products. The scrapbooking technique itself has gained popularity for its ability to create even for inexperienced needlewomen without special tools.

Material for work:

  • Thick paper is needed for the base;
  • double-sided tape;
  • figured hole punches;
  • ruler;
  • scrap paper;
  • stationery knife and scissors;
  • details for decoration: beads, ribbons, small pearls.

Let's move on to the master class. On the selected dense material, using a ruler and a stationery knife, make a base measuring 15x29cm. The envelope itself will measure 15x15 cm.

The size of the envelope can be varied at the discretion of the businessman, but it is worth considering that the disc should not roll or be compressed.

The base is folded in half along a thin and even line. To bend dense material, it is better to use a non-sharp object. Scrapbooking paper will serve you well when decorating an envelope. The size is 7-8 cm smaller than the base, a square is cut out. To add flair to the design, the lower corners are cut off with curly scissors. You can place several butterflies on the envelope; their contours are made using a special contour hole punch. To create the effect of “living” butterflies, the wings are raised. Using crushed pencil lead, the edges of the envelope and the wings of the butterfly are tinted. Care should be taken to ensure that the paintings performed are applied evenly and equally.

Decorative and interior decoration

You need to take two satin ribbons of different colors and unequal widths. The length of the material is equal to the length of the side of the envelope with an addition of 3 cm. A wide tape is initially glued to the scrap paper using double-sided tape, after which a narrow tape is fixed on top of it.

In the middle of the envelope, 2 more small ribbons are harmoniously located, secured with tape and tied in a bow. To make the bow more expressive, you can place several beads on it. The template is located below.

To keep the disc safe, the inside of the envelope will have a pocket made of scrap paper, cut in the shape of a rectangle. One corner of the rectangle is made with scissors in the form of a semicircle, and the remaining 6 mm are folded inward. This will allow you to hold the disc firmly.

Using crushed pencil lead, the rounded edge is tinted. Double-sided tape is glued to the curved edges of the rectangle and fixed to the right side of the envelope. Such an envelope will fully fit another disc. To do this, you need to repeat the previous steps only for the left side.

We glue the square, made with decorative trim, onto the front part of the base. And that's it, the envelope is ready.

Made from kraft paper

For cases when there is no time to create a chicly designed envelope, you can do plain envelopes from kraft paper.

Material for work:

  • kraft paper;
  • pencil;
  • ruler;
  • contour hole punches;
  • glue or double-sided tape;
  • scissors.

Description of work stages:

  1. On craft paper, using a ruler and pencil, draw a sketch of the future envelope in unfolded form. The picture below shows a good pattern;

  1. Using scissors, the prepared image of the envelope is cut out and folded along the contours to form an envelope;
  2. The sides of the envelope can be secured with double-sided tape or glue;
  3. To prevent the envelope from opening and the disc falling out, the closing side should be fixed. For example, you can make a heart on an envelope under the closing part using a shaped hole punch, and make a slot on the “closure” itself. In the future, you can fold the heart and pull it through the cut line. By straightening the heart, you can get a small but reliable clamp.

  1. To decorate the envelope, you can use crushed pencil lead, rubbing it along the edges of the envelope.

An unusual, but quite simple and affordable paper secret envelope is ready.

This envelope is convenient for making notes about the contents of the disc. It is quite thin and does not take up much space when stored.

How to quickly make a CD sleeve with your own hands

Flash drives are good. Very inexpensive, large volumes. Discs are becoming a thing of the past. However, as long as computers are produced with a disk drive, so long will the media be in demand. This means that these same DVDs or CDs need to be placed in something to transport them.

I suggest you make the CD sleeve yourself.

Have you ever encountered a situation where at work or a friend's property you end up with a hastily burned data disc? How to deliver it safe and sound? You can simply put it in your purse or pocket, but rest assured, you have half a chance that the disc will be readable at home. The readable surface of the disc must be protected from damage.

Here I will tell you how to quickly prepare an envelope for a disc that needs to be delivered to its destination undamaged. It’s not good to carry it in a bag - that’s bad manners. And the envelope is already very reliable. But sometimes the CD sleeve isn't sold one at a time, sometimes it's just not around point of sale. In the end, you can simply acquire the necessary skill, which will be useful in many other places.

In order to quickly prepare an envelope for the disc, I will need a sheet of A4 paper. It won't necessarily be clean. A newspaper or magazine sheet may suit the wave. And the format is indicated only in order not to indicate any special sizes. Everything is conditional, even half a sheet of newspaper will do. Go. Sorry for the quality of the photos, I also took them in haste.

Well... place the disk on the sheet approximately in the center of the sheet:

Let's fold the edges of the sheet, going around the edges of the disk with parallel folds as in the figure:

Just above the outer diameter of the disk, fold the second half of the sheet towards the bent part, the envelope for the disk is almost ready.

Let's make folds along the edges so that the second half of the envelope fits securely into the first.

The sheet needs to be unfolded a little to insert the disk into the resulting pocket.

What is the best way to preserve memories of the brightest events of our lives? Of course, photography. We often burn them to discs. There can be a lot of such disks accumulated. How can we make sure that they are preserved intact, and that it is not difficult to find the desired disk among the many available at home? For this we propose to issue DIY CD sleeve with photos. IN in this case we will create disc sleeve with wedding photos, but you can design absolutely any disc in this way: photos from your travels, holidays, or just walks. This will not be difficult to do, and in the end you will get a beautiful and functional thing that will help you organize your photo collection.

To create such an envelope you will need:

- cardstock, cardboard or watercolor paper for the base, scrap paper,

- ribbons, half-pearls, a heart-shaped buckle made of mother-of-pearl beads,

- figured hole punches,

- ink pad, stamps,

- double-sided tape or glue,

- scissors, breadboard or stationery knife, ruler.

First of all, we need to make the base of our future CD sleeve. To do this, use cardstock; you can also take designer or regular cardboard or thick paper for watercolor. The size of the envelope in this case is 14 x 14 cm, but it depends on your desire. The main thing is that the disk itself fits into it later. So, cut out the base measuring 14 x 28 cm. It is best to do this with a breadboard knife under a ruler on a cutting mat, this avoids marks from pencil lines.

To fold the base evenly in half, you need to make a crease - draw a line along which the fold will go. If you don’t have a special tool, you can use improvised means - a crochet hook, a non-writing pen, etc.

Bend the cardstock along the resulting line. The base is ready.

Now you need to formalize it. Use your favorite scrap paper for this. It is necessary to cut out a square the size of which is slightly smaller size bases, literally by 5 - 10 mm.

Decorate the bottom corners with a corner figured hole punch.

CD discs are still a container and storage of information. Therefore, the question of their placement in the space of an apartment or office remains relevant. The difficulty is in choosing the right packaging for the disc. If the factory envelope is lost or quite frayed, you can make a new one with your own hands from a sheet of paper. Absolutely anyone can do this. And we will give several ways to make an envelope for a disk out of paper.

How to make a CD envelope from A4?

When you don’t have suitable packaging at hand, and you need to put the CD in something, you will need a regular sheet of paper. The technology for creating an envelope can be described in a few words:

  1. place the paper and disk on a flat surface;
  2. Place the CD on the short side of the sheet so that the edge divides the hole in the disc into two equal parts;
  3. bend the long sides (they should fit onto the disc);
  4. fold the sheet crosswise so that it covers half of the CD;
  5. You will get a convenient pocket where you can insert the disc.

Now you have:

  • bend the free part of the sheet;
  • press it tightly.

To prevent dust from getting inside the pocket and the disc getting lost, make small “ears” on the sides on the same part. They will fit into the pocket and securely hold it in the closed position.

An easy way to make an envelope

How to make a CD sleeve in a few minutes? Everything is very simple. To work you will need a square of paper. By the way, it doesn't have to be white. Suitable for CD pocket colored paper or even beautiful wallpaper remnants.

  • take the square;
  • fold both of its corners towards the center;
  • Unfold the blank so that the folded parts become the left and right sides of the envelope.
  • Now you can bend the bottom part. Its edge should protrude slightly beyond the center.

For the next stage of work you will need PVA glue. Apply it pointwise to the places where the bottom part touches the sides. If you don’t have glue on hand, use double-sided tape. It will securely and quickly secure the envelope.

After these manipulations, all that remains is:

  1. carefully bend the top part;
  2. put a CD inside.

This type is suitable for transporting a disc or storing it in any dry place.

Step-by-step instructions for making a pocket

When you are already tired of the usual CD packaging, you can do something interesting and unusual. And we will help you with this.

So, let's get to work:

  • find an old factory envelope;
  • glue it very carefully - this way you will get a stencil;

  • place it on the selected image (it is important that the main component of the composition is in the center of the future pocket);

  • trace the stencil with any black pencil;
  • cut the envelope along the marked lines;

  • glue it together in the same way as the factory product.

Such pockets can become a real decoration for a teenager’s room, and if desired, one or two envelopes will become the first copies of an unusual collection. At the same time, the choice of topic is always yours.

Exclusive envelope

When your creative nature never gives you rest, you can try creating an envelope using the scrapbooking technique. It consists of decorating paper products:

  1. beads;
  2. ribbons;
  3. cloth.

In this case, the envelope made according to the instructions given above is taken as a basis. But you need to select paper for it;

  • white;
  • very dense (it is sold in specialized stores for scrapbookers).

The following are superimposed on the base according to your imagination:

  1. buttons;
  2. satin ribbons;
  3. beads of different sizes and textures.

The list of possible design options is almost endless. Such an envelope will become a real work of art. It can even be used as a gift to a loved one.

Do you need to put in a disc? But it turned out that the box or envelope was not at home? We offer you a simple way to make a CD envelope from a regular A4 sheet.

How to make an envelope for a disc from A4?

To get a good product, you must strictly follow the instructions. To make it, we need the disc itself (CD or DVD) and a regular sheet of A4 paper.

Let's get to work!

1. We place the disk on the edge of the long side of the sheet of paper so that the center of its hole is in the middle of this edge - photo No. 1.
2. We bend the edges of the sheet to the size of our disk - photo No. 2.
3. We bend the sheet folded from the sides again, to half the size of the disk. We insert our disk into the resulting pocket - photo No. 3.
4 . We bend the remaining part of the sheet towards the disk and press it against it - photo No. 4.
5. We turn the same part of the sheet back and make small bends on the sides, in the form of wings - photos No. 5 and No. 6.
6. We insert the edge of the sheet with curved wings into the opposite pocket where disk photo No. 7 is located.
7 . Our A4 paper disc envelope is ready - photo No. 8.

This arrangement of the disc in an envelope is well suited for home storage. And if you want to take it to a friend, then it is better to put it not in your pocket, but in the middle of a sheet folded on the sides, as shown in the video below, to avoid street dust getting on the disc.
