In 2017, the Golden Turtle Festival will be held with the support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and specialized organizations in the field of environmental protection, charity and photography - the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation, the Ecological Chamber of Russia, the Foundation for the Support and Development of Philanthropy "KAF" and the Cultural Project RUSS PRESS PHOTO.

The Golden Turtle Wildlife Festival will become the largest interactive edutainment platform as part of the Year of Ecology. From October 13 to November 5, the Moscow Expocenter on Krasnaya Presnya will host an entertainment and educational program, as well as a traditional exhibition of the winners of the creative competition The Golden Turtle, dedicated to wildlife and ecology. Then “The Golden Turtle” will be presented in St. Petersburg - from November 10 to 23 in the Artplay SPb space. Funds raised at the Festival events will be donated to the beneficiaries of the My Equator Charitable Foundation - children with heart diseases.

The My Equator Charitable Foundation for Social Support is the owner of the rights to organize and conduct the Golden Turtle Festival. The funds collected by the foundation are used to carry out operations on children from one to 18 years of age suffering from serious illnesses, including congenital heart defects of varying degrees of complexity.

The name of the foundation is not accidental: for many children, a life-saving operation is the “equator” between illness and health, between the world of restrictions and a full life. The main goal of the Foundation’s work is to help its wards cross it safely.

The foundation has several successful charitable events aimed not only at raising funds, but also at educating children, popularizing creative activities, and disseminating information about wildlife and its inhabitants.

At the festival you will be presented with 12 tactile works made using colored relief drawings or three-dimensional images made from various materials.
